How to make low calorie biscuit trifle recipe without any fat

Ingredients Need

  • 2 red apples – cored and cut into round, thin slices with the peel  12-15 marie biscuits

  • 5 cups toned milk
  • 5 tsp vanilla custard powder
  • 4 tsp gelatine or 1 packet china grass (grind in mixer to powder) soak in 1 cup water in a pan for 15 minutes
  • 2 tsp sugar free powder, 1 tsp pineapple essence
  • 2 tsp coffee, ½ cup sugar free pd.
  • Fresh fruits like kiwi or kharbooza or orange 2 almonds-cut into thin slices & Roasted.

Method

  1. Dissolve custard in ½ cup milk. Keep aside boil the remaining 41/2 cups milk. Simmer for 15 minutes. Add dissolved custard powder, stirring continuously. Cook for 4-5 minutes till a thin custard is ready and it coats the back of the spoon. Remove from fire Add sugar free powder mix well.
  2. Keep soaked gelatine or china grass on slow flame in a heavy bottom pan, stirring continuously till dissolved completely. Strain china grass into the hot custard. Add a tsp of pineapple essence also in the custard. Check sweetness transfer to a serving dish, keeping aside 1 cup for the top. You can serve in individual glasses too. Refrigerate for 20-30 minutes till thick and set.
  3. For jelly: Heat 11/2 cups of water in a pan remove from fire and add jello pack. Mix well till smooth. Cool keep in freezer for 15-20 minutes to set quickly. Cut some shapes from the set jelly with a cookie cutter. Keep in the fridge for decoration. Put left over jelly in the fridge.
  4. For soaking biscuits, boil ½ cup water. Add coffee and remove from fire. Cool and add ½ tsp of sugar free powder.
  5. Lightly break left over jelly with a fork and keep aside
  6. Dip each marie biscuits in coffee water and arrange over the custard.
  7. Arrange very thin apple slices all around the bowl or individual serving glass. Cut the remaining slices into 1 pieces. Spread apple on the biscuits.
  8. Put jelly over the apples and biscuits.
  9. Spread the remaining custard for the top layer. Level it when set, arrange jelly shapes.
